Birthday Blog Update

Another year passes, some rhymes are forgotten and others have stood the test of time. In celebration of Nature's birthday I'm posting up a video from one of the best YouTube channels out there, NatureAppreciatior's channel. He posts up videos that include lyrics... pretty dope. Anyway the video I'm including below is lyrics to a song from the Tony Touch "Piece Maker 2" album. The track Beautiful Day reminds me of just how long Nature has been doing his thing. He opens the track with the line "way before Biz and Kane did it young Jermain did it" and that line had me thinking about just how long Nate's been doing his thing. I'm not sure he knows about this blog but anybody who wants to wish him a happy bday can hit him up on Twitter @therealnature. And while you're tweeting hit up Tony Touch and tell him to get Nature back on the next Piece Maker joint!

Def Con 3 - The Massacre feat. Nature (Produced by Little Vic)

It's crazy how many new songs I've been hearing lately featuring Nature. Just found another gem on Twitter via Danny Rust aka @itsdefcon3. This Def Con 3 track hits hard with a nice beat by Little Vic. Nature's verse on this joint is superb. He just slays it for the last minute of the song. "Queensbridge to Islip / hustle on the night shift / breakin up ya happy home I'm the one ya wife with" this track is definitely going to get some airplay on NYC and other real urban hip hop stations around the country. UNRELEASED Noreaga feat. Nature - Never Promised Tomorrow (EXCLUSIVE)

I think more new and unreleased Nature tracks have come out in 2011 than any year since like 2000. NORE feat. Nature "Never Promised Tomorrow" was produced by SPK probably many years ago... but just saw the light of day earlier this year when SPK posted it on his Soundcloud. I didn't hear about it until today when Nature himself tweeted about the Youtube video. I always enjoy SPKilla beats... this one is no exception. The joint features three verses by NORE and the hook by Nature, rapping about how death is right around the corner. During the intro to Nature brings his usual dope adlibs. Nore closes the track with some adlibs as well... just talking off the top of the dome. I've talked to a lot of hip hop fans over the years and they consistently say that Nature and NORE have some of the best adlibs in the game and are a big part of what keeps their tracks entertaining. I definitely agree. I've embedded what looks like a fan created YouTube video below, unfortunately I don't have a download link for this joint. Mercy - Charisma feat. Nature

Hot off the Twitter presses is another new track to bump this winter. Joint is called “Charisma” and of course features Queens finest Nature. Funny that I first saw news of this track on Nature's Twitter account and his opening line states that the song is "for the social networks / my friends that's followin". I haven't heard of Mercy before this but I'll definitely be checking for more of his stuff, beat was done by a producer named Solidified. Track is off Mercy's street album, The Prestige 2 which is available now. Mercy holla at Nate for more joints... We'll cop em.

William Cooper feat. 9th Prince & Nature - Bring it Back

I've got another Nature verse for ya'll today hot off the Twitter presses. The track is called Bring it Back by William Cooper featuring 9th Prince (of Wu-Tang affiliate Killarmy) & Nature. William Cooper was just tweeting about this new joint for the first time earlier today. He's been nominated for the Underground Music Awards Independent Album of the Year. You can check out the song in the video below, which I originally found over at Starforce Hip Hop. Track is produced by BP and video was directed by Jimmy Giambrone. Nature comes through with another smooth verse, good to see him dropping new verses on a regular basis in 2011. The track is off the upcoming Black Market Militia Presents - William Cooper - Beware of the Pale Horse LP. Lord Nez - Word is Bond featuring Nature (produced by M7)

Another great Nature verse featured on a track by Lord Nez and French producer M7 (with scratches by DJ Smoke). The beat is dope and Lord Nez isn't bad either, he sounds a little bit like 50 Cent after he got shot in the face but before all he rapped about was money and dumb rap beefs. Based on the CD cover it seems like Lord Nez and M7 have a compilation album dropping soon entitled "R.E.A.L." with features by Nature, Big Noyd, Capone, Shyheim, Sha Stimuli, Tommy 2 Face, Nusto, Mr. Bars, Ilacoin, and more. I have to give a shout out to the Cormega forums over at because that's where I read about this first... but the original post came from another great blog . DJ Concept feat. Nature & The Kid Daytona - Get Off My Cloud

Perhaps some of the best news I've heard in 2011 was the fact that Nature is working with Deep Concepts Media on a bunch of new joints and a brand new full length LP. I'm pretty sure the news hasn't reached the masses yet since the project is still in the early stages. A lot of up and coming producers including Mickey Knox and DJ Concept have already been cooking up crack for the LP. DJ Concept comes through with a hot beat for this track, which is off his Heavy Smoke LP. Nature & the Kid Daytona don't disappoint with their verses. I'm really looking forward to hearing more from Deep Concepts Media and Nature, particularly who they line up for beats. I'd be fine with a no features LP but it will be interesting to see who else might pop up on the project.
