Who ripped the beat better??? Nas or Nature?

Saw this floating around the net this week... a supposedly "new" Nas track with Keyshia Cole where he flows over a beat very similar to one that Nature used back in the late 90's on a DJ Clue mixtape joint called "Let's Do it Again". The track later was officially released on the 2002 Anti-Backpack Movement compilation LP. I'm not sure if I believe that this is actually a 2011 Nas joint but regardless I think Nature's version is superior. Props to the Nature Appreciator on youtube as always, his Nature uploads with the lyrics are money.

Nature - To My Advantage (Produced by Pete Rock)

Apparently I missed the 10th Anniversary of the original release of the Pete Rock "PETEStrumentals LP". The LP title is a bit of a misleading as several of the tracks on the LP feature vocals... including a hidden gem from Nature called "To My Advantage" (Click here to buy the MP3 from Amazon.com). The track is dope and actually isn't the first time Nature has recorded with Pete Rock. Check out the video below where you can stream the audio. If you're looking to pick up the whole PETEStrumentals CD I'd definitely recommend buying from Sandbox Automatic... they were always one of my favorite places to cop underground hip-hop.

Joey Benjamins - Back to the Money feat. Nature & Micah

Literally just found this track via Twitter yesterday. Noticed Joey Benjamins (@JoeyBenjamins) promoting a new joint he did with Nature and Micah. He had a link to his soundcloud page with a streaming version of the joint (check it out by clicking here). Probably my favorite thing about this joint is that it samples the Notorious B.I.G. track Juicy... but Nature also kicks a dope verse. Peep it below and look out for the new Joey Benjamins album Infamy coming July 2011. If it features more production and guest appearances like this I'd be all over it.

Nature, Reks, G Huff - City Night Stories (produced by Soul Theory)

Today I have a dope semi-new joint produced by Soul Theory out of Tampa, Florida. Nature kicks things off with another nice verse. G.Huff, a rappers out of Ohio is on the hook, then Reks, one of the best rappers ever to come out of Massachusetts handles the second verse. When I first saw the title I figured this would be a badly mixed track that wouldn't really flow together but I'm definitely really liking it. Props to Soul Theory for having an amazing website (http://www.studio643.com) which had a sweet "Share" function that allowed me to post the track for streaming and download below. Hope ya'll enjoy.. and if anyone knows what/how they're doing these download/share things hit me up, I'd like to start adding that as a regular function here.

Dreadchild featuring Nature - I Don't Make Believe

A lot of college stations have been picking up this new joint by Dreadchild featuring Nature - I Don't Make Believe.   According to MP3 servicing provider MP3Waxx (masters of the email blast) Dreadchild is part of the group Knotz.   They've put up an email blast page, including a link to the mp3 (it automatically starts streaming if you click the link). I like the joint, Nature's verse is pretty solid, further proving that he's ready to start consistently dropping new material in 2011. I'm also linking to the youtube
